Six Week Class; Laguna Hills Community Center
Children will explore various elements of writing including descriptive, persuasive, expository and narrative writing. Each week a new and exciting writing lesson will be presented allowing and encouraging children to write stories in their own words. Narrative writing will consist of various aspects of fiction writing including character development, plots and setting. MaryAnn Easley, award winning author and educator, will guide and teach children to enhance their creativity as well as writing techniques.

4th Grade California History Education Program

EducateMate.org has teamed up with Irvine Regional Park to bring you a 4th Grade California History Education Program designed to educated, enlighten and entertain your homeschooled children in compliance with the CA State Standards.
Together we will explore the history of California with hands on projects and learn more about the transcontinental railroad while riding the train, the gold rush from a real 49er, important historical figures which helped mold our great state, and pan for gold like those who came before our time. Fun, informative activities are planned. The course is taught by certified teachers and created by the education management team of the Irvine Regional Park.
