EducateMate.org has teamed up with Irvine Regional Park to bring you a 4th Grade California History Education Program designed to educated, enlighten and entertain your homeschooled children in compliance with the CA State Standards.

Together we will explore the history of California with hands on projects and learn more about the transcontinental railroad while riding the train, the gold rush from a real 49er, important historical figures which helped mold our great state, and pan for gold like those who came before our time. Fun, informative activities are planned. The course is taught by certified teachers and created by the education management team of the Irvine Regional Park.

The program will run 2.5 hours and fulfill 4th grade CA State Standards of: Section 4.3 #1, #3, #4, #5, Section 4.4 #2, #3, #4, #6, #7

You and your kids will have a blast exploring the depths of this fun and new historical program!

Note: There is a $3.00 park fee to enter the park
This class is designed for 4th grade students; younger or older children wanting to learn this program may attend also with paid student admission. Per park staff, very young children are asked to be watched by a parent and not included directly in the class.
